Creative Director / Principal
Dr Yvette Watt
Yvette has been involved in the creative arts as both and artist and an educator for 4 decades and has taught in high schools, TAFEs, prisons and universities. She has a Bachelor of Education, a Masters, and a PhD in fine art and worked at the UTAS School of Creative Arts & Media for 23 years, including as Head of Painting. Yvette has been the Creative Director since October 2024, building on the work of Hamish Hall who started Archaica Schola in 2019. Yvette's artwork is held in numerous pubic and private collections including Parliament House, Canberra, and the Art Gallery of WA.
Painting Instructor & Studio Assistant
Tash Jones
Tash Jones is an artist local to Lutruwita, working primarily in painting and drawing. Her practice centres around exploring the bounds of self-portraiture, through depicting her internal world, personifying her emotional experiences, and exploring relationships. After completing a Bachelor of Fine Arts in 2017 and a Masters in Teaching in 2020 Tash has been teaching Art in K-12 school settings.

Jedda Robaard
Jedda Robaard is an Australian author, illustrator and designer known internationally for her sweet and whimsical style of illustration. Jedda studied as a commercial artist in 1992 and after an initial career in graphic design moved her focus to illustration. She has been illustrating and writing children’s books since 2011 and has over 50 books published, many of them award-winning, including The Littlest Penguin, winner of the Environment Award for Children's Literature. Her books are sold internationally and have been published in many languages.
Painting and Drawing Instructor
Dr Michael Nay
Michael Nay is a teacher and artist whose studio practice includes painting and drawing. Michael has studied and taught painting and drawing throughout his life, and in recent years has taught introductory to advanced painting and drawing at TAFE and University. Michael is passionate about drawing the human figure, object composition, architecture, landscape and travel journaling in a variety of wet and dry mediums.

Scarlett
Scarlett has ample experience as studio dog, including accompanying Yvette when her studio was based at Kickstart Arts, as well as being a regular at Artosaurus when Yvette is working there. Scarlett's enjoys announcing studio attendees with a bark as they come up the stairs before returning to relaxing and offering her services for pats and treats.
